Sudio B3 / Open-Ear Earphones
2025 / Designed by Samuel Lehto & Philip Ståhlbrand / Photography by Amanda Kho
The Sudio B3 continues the evolution of the B-series — following the bone-conduction B1 and B2 — with a new take on open-ear listening. It keeps the same principle of leaving the ear canal open for environmental awareness but achieves it through a more refined acoustic and ergonomic solution rather than bone conduction.
Sound as Jewellery
For B3, the aim was to create something you could wear all day without feeling self-conscious about it.
Rather than leaning into a typical technology look, we focused on softer curves, simple geometry, and materials that feel familiar on the body. A subtle metallic detail gives structure without calling attention to itself.
The form wraps gently around the ear and is tuned to feel balanced and light. The intention was to make it feel closer to an accessory than a device, something that works just as well in professional settings as in casual ones.
The open-ear design keeps you aware of your surroundings, which makes it useful for walking, commuting, or working while staying present. The weight is distributed to stay comfortable over longer periods, and the controls are integrated into the surface without becoming visually dominant.
